Medical Training

Algeria

In January 2008 Dr Stephanie Munn, Consultant Dermatologist, and Dr Stephen Nash, Consultant in Emergency Medicine, will be going to the Refugee camps in Southern Algeria to provide training to the doctors working in local clinics and poorly equipped hospitals. The world has forgotten their intractable plight but HOPE 4 the World hasn't.

Indonesia

In February 2008 Dr Stephen Nash will be visiting a district hospital in Borneo, Indonesia to provide medical training and leadership skills to recently qualified junior doctors. In many developing countries recently qualified doctors are used by governments to provide medical treatment in rural areas. The least experienced doctors are sent to clinics to practise medicine with little or no supervision. HOPE 4 the World has an opportunity to prepare them better for the difficult situations in which they will work.
