Burma Training Projects

We have all seen on television the atrocities, which the military junta has been doing to unarmed Buddhist monks peaceful demonstrators.

Teacher Training

Training teachers is an essential part of empowering communities to equip and help themselves. We aim to train local teachers who can provide a solid education for their communities for years to come.

On 16th November HOPE 4 the World is sending an educational team of 3 to the Thai/Burmese border to deliver a 2-week teacher training programme to Internally Displaced People (IDPs) from minority tribes.

Medical Training

We have found that many communities lack people with the most basic of medical skills - these skills will often make the difference between life and death for children and families. We aim to take teams from the UK (doctors, nurses, dentists, midwives) to train local men and women in basic medical skills. These skills are making all the difference, but there is still a huge need that we are aiming to meet.

HOPE trains paramedics in basic accident and emergency skills, including suturing, broken bones, basic injuries and hygiene . We buy all of the equipment (generators, sterilizing equipment) at the best prices in Thailand.

Dentistry Training

See our Dentists 4 Burma project page for more information.
